2009 Friends of Dance
Friends of Dance, founded in 2008, was established to encourage participation in and attendance of the various dance events presented by the Savannah Arts Academy Department of Dance and to provide financial support for the policies, projects and activities of the Department. Friends of Dance is the most important source of support for emerging young dance professionals within the SAA Department of Dance. Through the investments of our many Friends of Dance, the SAA Department of Dance nurtures and prepares talented young students for the professional world of dance.
Friends of Dance members 2009-2010 goals
- Goal One: To support out 2009-2010 productions—An Evening of Classical and Contemporary Ballet, Winter Dance Concert, Wizard of Oz, and Love of Broadway.
- Goal Two: To provide various scholarships to our graduating dance students who are entering college to major in dance.
- Goal Three: To offer more guest residencies throughout the 2009-2010 school year so our students can be exposed to more dance experiences.
- Goal Four: To replace our current dance floors
